Carl D. Bergman, 90, Loving husband of Dorothy (Née) Schwer for 66 amazing years. Loving siblings of Luann, John, Susie and Evy. Korean War veteran, U.S. Air Force, retired Assistant Chief of police, Evergreen Park Police Department. Loving Father of Pam (Paul) Durco, Don, Bill (Becky). Proud Grandfather of Scott (Morgan) Durco, Christine (Walter) Droba, Jack Bergman. Super Proud Great Grandfather of Brady, Madison, Kelsey and Davis. Dear friend to all of his sisters and brothers in law. Awesome uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend and Confidant to many more throughout the years. Family and friends will gather on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth, IL. Miguel Rinconeno Sr., 87, passed away on November 2, 2023. Miguel was born in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, on November 24, 1935. Miguel was preceded by his mother, Beatrice, his father, Jose, his former wife Trinidad and their two beloved sons, Raulito and Ricardo. Miguel was also the dearest brother to Gabriel, Ramon, Ana Maria, late Jose, late Rafael, late Gomael, late Dolores, late Alicia, late Estela, late Beatriz, and the late Jose. Miguel is survived by his children Miguel Rinconeno Jr., and Terese Castellanos; his grandchildren Brittny, Ricardo Jr., Adam, Anthony, Mia, Cristian, Sofia, and his great-grandchildren Gianni, and Sevanno. Miguel worked for the Chicago Police Academy for over 20 years. He was a very dedicated and well-respected employee. Miguel was known for being very generous and never hesitated to help those in need, whether a family member, a friend, or a stranger on the street. Miguel expressed his love for his family not only through words but by actions. Miguel was also known for capturing every special moment by video or photos. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico during the summer months and had the opportunity to travel to Egypt, as well as a life-changing spiritual trip to Jerusalem. Miguel was an active member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, attending daily mass until his final days. Miguel’s compassion, sense of humor, and endless love for his family will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will take place Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Closing Prayers at 10:15 a.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
