Adam Bustamante, January 8, 1963 — April 15, 2023, age 60, late of East Side, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023. Loving brother of Gloria (Rosendo, Retired CPD) Moreno and Larry (Theresa) Bustamante. Devoted cousin of Celia (Alfredo) Arroyo, John (Victoria) Aguilera, Cindy, Alex, Niki, Laura, Phillip and Ryan. Cherished uncle of Cheryl, Regina, Lauren, Jesse, Cristian, Samantha, Carmen, Xavier, Cassie, Justus and Eron and great uncle to many. Caring friend of George (Minnie) Islas, Carlos Medina, Sandy Higgins and Pam Kelly. Adam has many other loving family members in Texas. Preceded in death by parents: Agapito and Janie Bustamante. He will be greatly missed by his canine companion, Shadow. Raymond Joseph Golnick passed away suddenly on April 14th 2023 at the age of 85. Born in Chicago Illinois, Ray is survived by his longtime life partner, Evelyn Schnitzer. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Lisa (Brad) Brettschneider, Nancie (Dave) Dorjath and Cheryl (John) LaManna. Cherished by his grandchildren Craig (Alana) Johnson, Michael (Margaret) Johnson, Matthew (Melissa) Johnson, Phillip (Brittany) Dorjath, Emily Dorjath, William Dorjath, Madeline (Adam) LaManna, and Jack LaManna. Loved by his great grandchildren Charlie Dorjath, Nate Johnson, Paul Johnson, Cam Johnson and Eli Dorjath. Ray was proud of his work as a Police Officer for the Chicago Police Department, and an Investigator for the Cook County States Attorney. He earned many awards and recognitions through the years. His favorite hobbies included traveling with an eye towards historical sites. Some of his favorite places to visit included Rome, Paris and Las Vegas. He also was a connoisseur of great coffee and was fond of enjoying a cup on his balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. He enjoyed watching classic movies and TV shows from the golden age of television. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for life. He left his loving family still wondering the answer to a question he often posed; “was it the hawk’s claw or grandpa’s hand?” Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Raymond that will be held Thursday, April 20th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646. A chapel service will take place Thursday, April 20th, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646. An interment will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 8600 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714.
