EAP Hours of Operation and After-Hours Service!

Normal office hours for the Professional Counseling Division/ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is Mon-Fri, 0900-1700 hours. This is inclusive of after-hours appointments. The EAP staff can be reached at 312-743-0378 or Pax 0578. After normal office hours, a contracted answering service will receive all calls coming into the EAP office from their bell number only. The answering service is not accessible from dialing EAP’s pax number. If you need an EAP staff member to call you back right away, instead of waiting for a return call the next business day during normal office hours, ensure you indicate your preference to the call taker. An on-call EAP clinician, Alcohol & Substance Abuse counselor and Peer Support member is always available 24/7. The answering service will notify the respective on-call EAP personnel of your request for a call back. If you are unable to reach the answering service or you have not received a return phone call in a timely manner from an on-call EAP personnel, department members are encouraged to contact CPIC at (312) 745-6300 or Pax 0100. CPIC will then contact the on-call EAP personnel directly.
