Subject: LEOSA-HR218 Self Defense Insurance for retired law enforcement

My name is Terry Chodosh I am a retired USSS agent who has put together a self defense personal liability policy for retired law enforcement officers who carry a firearm under LEOSA-HR218 and are looking for liability coverage to protect their assets in case they must use deadly force to protect themselves. I put his policy together working with 3 major insurance companies and I believe that it is the best policy out there.

Here are some of the LEOSA-HR218 coverage highlights:

§ Primary coverage with immediate reimbursement and a very affordable annual premium of $250-$300 (plus applicable state taxes and fees)

§ Generous civil liability coverage limits of $300,000 or $500,000. This is up to 2x the limits of other self-defense policies.

§ Coverage including bodily injury or property damage caused by an act of self-defense, civil liability lawsuit defense coverage, criminal defense reimbursement up to $50,000, and many more benefits.*

§ A $5000 payment to the insured in the event that he/she is criminally charged in conjunction with an act of self defense to use to retain an attorney, bail bond etc.

§ Coverage if the insured responds to assist an on-duty officer in a life threatening situation.

§ An easy-to-complete application found on our website at www.LEOSA-HR218SelfDefenseProtection.com

An article recently appeared in the Insurance Journal which is a well regarded publication for professionals in the insurance industry. It is available at http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/na ... 111420.htm

Our policy is backed by a solid AM Best “A” rating which signifies that our chosen insurance carrier has between $500 million to $700 million in cash reserves. Go to the make a claim link on the website for the info on the carrier.

I have attached fact sheet on the policy and a copy of an article that I have written.

I would be interested in finding out how to get information on my policy out to your retired police membership & whether there are any advertising opportunities available.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Terry

• Primary coverage providing immediate reimbursement,
unlike excess insurance policies that offer much more
limited reimbursement long after a case has been
decided
• Up to $50,000 in criminal defense reimbursement
• Civil liability coverage up to twice the limits of other
self‑defense policies
• An immediate payment of $5,000 to assist in your
legal defense in the event criminal prosecution is
initiated following a self-defense-related shooting
• Coverage if the insured renders assistance to a law
enforcement officer in a life-threatening situation
• Expenses up to $250 a day for work time lost in the
event of a trial
What is Covered

self‑defense
• The cost of a civil lawsuit defense, in addition to the
limit of liability for bodily injury and property damage
• Reimbursement of up to $50,000 for criminal defense
costs relating to charges stemming from an alleged
criminal action involving a self-defense-related incident
if the insured is acquitted on all charges, or if the

$300,000 or $500,000

retirement

or hospitalization for mental disorders
• Individuals with no permanent restraining orders
within the past five years
Why You Need Protection
In recent years, defensive gun use in the United States
has averaged approximately 2.5 million incidents per
year, and justifiable homicides are at a 10-year high. The
chances you will have to use your weapon for protection
are higher than ever before.
Even if you are fully justified in using your
weapon for personal protection, the cost
of a legal defense in a criminal or civil
trial could be personally devastating. In
the event of a civil judgment against you,
everything you have worked for over the
years could go to a felon and his lawyers.
