WE ARE SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF PHIL HASKETT, WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INFORMATION
POSTED ON OUR MESSAGE BOARD RELATING TO OBITUARIES AND OTHER CPD ANNOUCEMENTS. PHIL WAS ONE GREAT
GUY, WHO REALLY PUT HIMSELF OUT TO KEEP US INFORMED OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING, AND HE DID THIS ONLY
BECAUSE HE WAS A RETIREE, WHO LOVED THE MEN AND WOMEN IN BLUE. HE WILL BE MISSED.

WE RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE FROM PHILHASKETT'S SON:

To the friends of the Chicago Police Peer Support, I am sharing that my father, Phil Haskett, has peacefully died in his sleep early this morning. Just a week after his 85th birthday and after a long illness he found difficult to fight. He's now together with the love of his life, Betty Haskett and those family and friends who've been patiently awaiting his arrival. My Dad is a U.S. Marine and a retired Chicago Police Officer. Working with this great peer support group, through all these years, meant so much more to him than I think anyone will ever really know. It became a passion as strong as his work wearing the badge. With his lengthy experience wearing the Blue, and his huge heart for his fellow cops, I'm sure he made a huge difference in the lives of so many. My sister Lisa, and I, will announce the upcoming services when it becomes available.

We'll miss you, Dad.
Mark P. Haskett
