Raymond T. "Skip" Adams, Jr., passed away April 13, 2024. "Skip was his name, fun was his game." Much loved husband for 55 years of Mary Pat "Honey", nee Hawley. Proud father of Ray, aka "Sparky" CFD, (Jackie) and Mike (Jenny). Best storyteller Grandpa Skip Conall and Sean. Most fun loving Paw Paw to Ben, Teddy and Libby, all of whom were his "favorites." Big brother to Sandra (Vince) Clarke and Gerry (Vicki) Adams. Retired from the Chicago Police Department after 33 years. He was the police when it was the real police. He loved Squirrel Lake in Minocqua, Wisconsin and Casa Mar in Siesta Key, Florida. Visitation Wednesday, April 17, from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6467 N. Northwest Hwy (one block north of Devon), Chicago IL 60631. Prayers at the funeral home Thursday, April 18, 11:00 AM, before procession to St. Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave, Chicago IL 60631, for a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Police Chaplains Ministry, www.ChicagoPCM.org. Guido “Guy” Belmonte passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Friday, April 12, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved Husband of Cathy, nee D’Ambrosio, for a loving 53 years. Devoted Father of Sherri and Jamie (Brad) Vayda. Loving Son of the late Guido Sr. and the late Marge. Fond Grandfather of Emily Ana and Nicholas James. Dear Brother-in-law of Cindy (the late Andy) Montano. Dear Uncle of Ofc. Jimmy Montano C.P.D. and Anthony (the late Carla) Montano. Loving Cousin and Honorary Uncle too many. Guy worked for 32 years at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the purchasing division. Guy was a devoted community member of the Village of North Riverside. He was first elected Village Trustee in 1989 and served for 12 years before being appointed Village Treasurer and then Village Administrator in 2001 where he worked in this capacity until he retired in 2020. Guy loved North Riverside and Mater Christi Church. He was an active member of the parish and a dedicated member of the Holy Name Society. Family and friends are to gather for the Visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Russo’s Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (Located Between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Thursday, April 18, 2024 from Russo’s Hillside Chapels at 9:00 A.M. Proceeding to Mater Christi Church, 2401 S. 10th Avenue, North Riverside, IL. I'm trying to get the OLD 9th district reunion party going again BUT I have to get at least 60 people to come , so I'm asking everyone that is interested in coming to the party to contact me via email, phone or text that you will attend ( contact information will appear at the end of this email ) If you know anyone that would like to attend but has no email address have them give me a call . Our monthly luncheon this month is on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the EAGLE BUFFET IN CASINO ARIZONA, 524 N. 92nd St, Scottsdale, AZ 85256, right off the 101 & 202 at McKellips. The buffet does not open until 11:00 AM. We will check-in at 11:00 AM. Stay in the right line, and please identify that you are with the CPD AZ Retiree Luncheon group. When you pay, the cost of the luncheon is now $25.00, which includes all you can eat, beverage, dessert, tax, and tip. Laura Peterson, the food service manager, is our contact person. She is doing a wonderful job to accommodate our group. They will try to get us through the line and get us seated quickly. We will be in the rear room if it is available.
