James M. Siroky, 68, of Orland Park, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. James was the beloved husband of Kimberly (née Vlosak) with whom he shared 43 years of love and partnership. He was the wonderful dad of Samantha (Jason) Nykiel, Meghan (Brian) Kane, Hannah (Fiancé Daniel Spotswood) Siroky, and William (Katherine McIlwain) Siroky. The extremely proud Pop Pop of two grandsons, Otto and Floyd. Devoted brother of Richard (Marilyn), Karen, Marikay Stachura, Christine (Vincent) Navarro, and the late Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rita. James was also a cherished son-in-law, supportive brother-in-law, loving uncle, and loyal friend to many. James proudly served over 40 years in law enforcement as a dedicated police officer for the Village of Evergreen Park and as an investigator for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. He was deeply committed to protecting and serving his community, along with supporting his fellow law enforcement officers. James was a lifelong White Sox and Bears fan, loved fishing, and never passed up a chance to “make a donation” at the casino. He had a great sense of humor, often catching people off guard with his sharp wit and clever one-liners. Almost everyone who knew him has a story that ends in laughter. He was endlessly generous, fiercely loyal, and incredibly supportive, especially to his wife and four children, who knew they could always count on him. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Family and friends will gather on Monday July 28 at 11:00 am for a memorial mass at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462. Interment to be held privately. PEER SUPPORT

Since its establishment in 2000, the Peer Support Program has been a resource to provide assistance in times of need for Active and Retired Department members and their families. Certified Peers have completed a 40-hour training, and their conversations are protected by confidentiality under State Law 5 ILCS 840, First Responders Suicide Prevention Act.
