In Loving Memory of Officer Jasmine Hernandez Debo It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Officer Jasmine Hernandez Debo on February 5, 2025, at the age of 27. Born on October 11, 1997, Jasmine was a dedicated officer with the Chicago Police Department, serving proudly on the South Side of Chicago. Known for her compassion, approachability, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, Jasmine loved her work and the community she served. Her role meant so much to her, and she found fulfillment in making the city a safer place. Beyond her career, Jasmine had many passions. She loved swimming, whether at the beach or in local pools, and played water polo throughout high school, where she developed a competitive spirit and a strong sense of teamwork. As a lifeguard at Oak Street Beach, she showed her dedication to keeping others safe. Jasmine had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her husky, Akela. She loved horseback riding in her father’s hometown of Temascaltepec, where she felt a deep connection to nature. Jasmine also cherished traveling with her family—whether exploring cities across the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico, or countries like France, Italy, Greece, and England. Traveling allowed her to immerse herself in new cultures and create lasting memories with those she loved. Jasmine’s vibrant, fun-loving personality was the heart of every gathering. She was always up for socializing with friends and family, and music and dancing were never far from her joyful spirit. Her infectious energy and warmth will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Jasmine was the loving daughter of Araceli and Roberto Hernandez, and the cherished sister of Yvonne, Alexander, and Roberto Hernandez Jr. She will forever be remembered for the kindness, love, and joy she brought to her family, friends, and community. Jasmine is also survived by her extended family, friends, and colleagues, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her legacy of love, service, and laughter will never be forgotten. Edward L. Dovgin, age 96, Veteran, US Army, Korea. Beloved husband of the late Barbara, nee Bain, both from the Beverly Area. Loving father of John (Mary), James, and Jennifer (Ken) Barker. Proud grandfather known as “Papa” to Edward and Tricia Barker. Son of the late Anthony and Rose Dovgin. A loyal Chicago City Firefighter stationed at Truck 16 his whole 30 plus years on the force. Known by his fellow firefighters as “Ducky”. It was a career that he truly loved. On his days off from the Fire Department he was a union Bricklayer and built many homes and apartments around the Chicago area. His work ethic was unmatched as he provided a great life to his family and loved ones. Retiring in Glenn, Michigan he got to spend another 35 years in a beautiful place that he loved. Visitation this Thursday at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S. Kedzie Ave. Chicago, 10:00 am until time of service 12:00 noon. Interment Mt. Greenwood Cemetery. 773-779-4411.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adeline Giannoni who left us on February 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Adeline Giannoni, nee Hubley. Beloved wife of Albert, Ret. CPD, of 62 years. Dear mother of Laurie Giannoni, Angela (Kevin) Gammonley and Alan Giannoni. Loving grandmother of Grace and Evan Collins, Gina (Dylan) Harmon, Kyle (Natalie), Brendan (MacKenzie) and Emma Gammonley and great grandmother of Parker and Jettson. Dear sister of the late Ernistine Bowen. Fond aunt, cousin and friend to many. Memorial Mass Saturday, March 22nd 9:30 a.m. St. Christina Church. Inurnment St. Casimir Cemetery. Though Adeline is no longer with us in body, her love and legacy will remain forever. We find comfort in knowing she is at peace and will continue to guide us in spirit. Angelo Richard “Ang” Labriola retired C.P.D. passed away Sunday morning, February 9, 2025. He was the beloved husband for 50 years to Arlene, nee Massi. Proud father of Chris (Ashley Sapinski). Dear brother of Dan (Gayle Greear), Rosemary (Brian)Meltzer, the late Arlene (late Jeff) Vana and Dear brother-in-law of Deanna Rogus. Ang will be remembered fondly by his seven nephews. A special thank you to Barb for her kindness and help she gave to Arlene in caring for Ang. He served 33 years with the Chicago Police Department, retiring in 2004. After retirement he continued to work as a security officer with Chicago City Colleges, and at United Parcel Service in Hodgkins, IL. He was a lifelong Harley Davidson enthusiast and took numerous short and long trips with his brother, nephews and friends over the years. Most of all, he enjoyed countless hours on the Chain O’ Lakes, boating and spending time relaxing on the “Lake House” deck. Especially, in the last couple of years, he looked forward to Chris spending weekend hours keeping him company while watching whatever relic show was on the TV. He never gave up being a devoted Chicago Bears fan. He was a loving pet dad to many lucky dogs, the last being Yogi. Ang will be cremated and a private service will be held in May.

Thomas Wallow, age 83, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. Thomas was an Irish Catholic & Lifetime resident of the Southwest side of Chicago – West Lawn Neighborhood. He attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine Grammar School and De la Salle High School. Thomas loved his country and served in the U.S. Army from 07/26/1961 to 06/30/1967. Beloved Husband of the late Patricia A. Wallow; Devoted son of the late Dorothy (Tiny) and Maurice (Moe) Wallow; Stepfather of Joseph Lenart, Richard (MaryEllen) Lenart and the late Laura Marie Lenart; loving grandfather of Amanda (Nathan) Muhs, April Lenart, Leanne (Pete) Bernal, Anthony (Kelly) Sabella, CPD; fond great grandfather of 6; dearest brother of the late Carol (Robert) Rahn, William (Joanne) Wallow: fond uncle of many.
