It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy John Abbott, beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, loyal brother, loving uncle and treasured friend to many who left us on August 18, 2025, at the age of 63. Throughout his life, Tim dedicated countless hours to collecting various animals including snakes, shrews, frogs, turtles as well as raising rabbits, hamsters and quail. This turned into a love for the outdoors where Tim became an avid fisherman and hunter. After retiring from the Burbank, Il Police Department after three decades of service, he spent much of his free time with his family and friends. Those who knew Tim knew his garage was always open, his fridge always full and his stories unforgettable. Preceded in death by his parents Stan and Joan Abbott, in-laws Rueben and Irene Dommer, he is survived by his loving wife Julie, his son John (Leslie) and daughter Emily (fiancé Kyle), grandchildren; Joanna, Vera, Stanley and Sylvie; siblings Janet (Tony), Dan (Lisa) and Amy; brother-in-law to the late Roger Dommer (Cindy and Bob), Shirley Popper (Ron) and Gary Dommer (Jean); uncle to many and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
