Geoffrey "Geoff" Patrick Brown, 61, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He died peacefully at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the hospital staff. Geoff was born on February 11, 1964, in Chicago to Patricia Breen Brown and (Retired CPD) Harold Jerry Brown. He grew up in Chicago, attending Ebinger Grade School and Taft High School. An active Boy Scout, he was honored with induction into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society. He pursued higher education at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, where he earned his bachelor's degree. After graduation, Geoff began his career at George Junior Republic, a therapeutic residential mental health treatment facility in Pennsylvania. It was there that he discovered his passion for helping others, a calling that guided his professional life. In Chicago, he continued his work in mental health services, dedicating years to Thresholds and other organizations before eventually joining Vista Care in Wisconsin. Geoff married Roxanne Vassilew, and together they welcomed their daughter, Alexandra, in 1992. In 2018, they decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Chicago for Manitowoc, WI. where they built a quieter life together. Though he embraced his new home, Geoff remained a devoted fan of Chicago sports teams, always cheering on his beloved Bears, Bulls, and Cubs. He is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne; his parents, Patricia and Harold; his cherished daughter, Alexandra (Benjamin David); his sisters-in-law Mary Lou (Gerry) Bieberitz and Sandy (Rick) Haupt; his cousins Jason Whitley, Taylor Breen, Daniel Breen, Patrick Breen, Francis Breen, and Margaret Breen; his nieces and nephews, Bonnie (Steve) Delsman, Raymond (Lucy) Bieberitz, Ronald Bieberitz, Daniel Bieberitz, John (Geena) Bieberitz, William Bieberitz, Benjamin Bieberitz, Shannon Smith, Joseph Amato, Ryan Haupt, Nicole Haupt, Desirae Vassilew, Jacob Vassilew, and many other extended family members and dear friends. There will be a visitation at 12:30 p.m. followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 6995 North Hiawatha, Chicago, IL 60646 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Geoff's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network)), an organization dedicated to advancing research, supporting patients, and raising awareness. Wayne Leslie Keneipp, age 78, of Plainfield, IL passed away after a long, well-fought battle with cancer on April 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chicago, IL in 1946 to Loy and Mildred Keneipp. Wayne attended Bogan High School where he played football and scored four touchdowns in one game, or that may have been Al Bundy. Wayne married his high school sweetheart Peggy on October 6,1968 in Chicago, IL. Nine months and six days later, they became Keneipp: Party of Three. Wayne and Peggy enjoyed 56 beautiful years of marriage, raising two children, and spoiling four grandchildren, although Wayne’s hairline would suggest it was anything, but peaceful. Wayne attended Bogan Junior College, where the main thing he studied was drinking beer. Wayne served in the Chicago Police Department from 1967-1996. He also enjoyed being a commercial real estate owner. His best jobs, though, were being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and Tik Tok dancer. Wayne adored his family and was fiercely proud of all of their achievements. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Loy and Mildred Keneipp, and three very spoiled poodles, Frenchie, Tango, and Cash. He is survived by his dear wife Mary “Peggy” Keneipp; son Wayne (Cathy) Keneipp; daughter Leslie Mayo; grandchildren Wayne (Jennifer) Otto, Brandon Keneipp, Thomas Mayo, and Margaret Mayo; and brother Arthur Keneipp. Wayne will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and brothers of the Chicago Police Department. In honor of Wayne’s life, grab a beer at your favorite local joint and talk about football (Go Green Bay!). Anthony F. Killeen passed away Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at the age of 48. Tony was preceded in death by his father, George Killeen Jr; his paternal grandparents George Sr and Helen Killeen; and maternal grandparents Mario and Catherine Rebesco. He is survived by beloved wife Jennie (nee Mahoney) of 18 years; loving father of Kaden and Kameron; devoted son of Marianne Killeen (nee Rebesco); cherished brother of Patrick (Kris), Mike (Lauren), and Tim (Sarah) Killeen; loved son-in-law of Chris Mahoney; dear brother-in-law of Brian (Melissa) Mahoney and Eddie (Kelsey) Mahoney; adored uncle of Josh, Jake, Jackson, Jordan, Chase, Cole, Cooper, Mayah, Marianah, Finn, and Maizie; treasured nephew of Chuck (Marguerite) Rebesco, Vicki Rebesco, Cathy (Rich) Kallimanes, Joe (Marsha) Rebesco, and Bridget (Joe) Rubinas; and fond cousin of Jim, Ariana, Kaitlin, Gina, Chris, Lynn, Alex, Maria, Dominic, Francesca, Joey, Joe, Theresa, and Anthony. Tony attended Mt. Carmel High School, Chicago, IL and was a standout athlete earning accolades for both football and baseball. He continued his baseball career at MacMurray College, Jacksonville, IL where he was a four-year starter at second base, and at the time of graduation was one of the all-time hits leaders in all of D-3 baseball, and one of the fastest running a 3.9 to first base. He finished his career with 252 hits, .406 batting average, scored 176 runs, and stole 125 bases. He was proud to be a part of the conference all-decade team of the 1990s and is honored in the MacMurray Baseball Hall of Fame. Upon college graduation he completed his police academy training and began the career of his dreams as a police officer for the Scottsdale, AZ Police Department. During his brave and honorable service, he suffered a career-ending injury. Tony has worked throughout the years in security management. Tony enjoyed travel and cruising with Jennie and the boys, coaching his sons’ teams, and watching and playing sports with his family and friends. Like many in his family, Tony was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; however, his favorite team was any team Kaden or Kameron played on. He was and will always be their biggest fan. While Tony had many accomplishments, he will be remembered most as a fun, sweet, loving husband, dad, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. The void all those who love him feel in his absence will never be filled, and we can only find peace in the love that will forever endure. Marie T. Prechodko, age 93, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marie was also a devoted friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. For over 40 years, she dedicated her time and care as a crossing guard, always ensuring the safety of others. Her kindness, warmth, and selflessness will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.
