Kathleen M. Lynch (Flynn), 90, lifelong Canaryville resident, passed away February 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Clarence J. Lynch; devoted mother of Kathleen (late Don Jensen) Lynch, Sharon (John Ret. C.F.D.) McNicholas, and Michael. Loving grandmother of Daniel (C.P.D) McNicholas and Colleen McNicholas. Cherished daughter of the late Michael Flynn and MaryEllen Flynn (Lydon); dearest sister of the late Mary (late Bud) Salisbury, late John Flynn, late Rev. Dr. Michael Flynn, O. Carm., late James (Nancy) Flynn, Tom (late Joan) Flynn, Patrick (Ann) Flynn, Robert (Mary) Flynn, Daniel (late Lois) Flynn, and the late Shiela (Dominick) Marsiglio; she is survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathleen was a proud Operating Engineer for local # 399 for the City of Chicago after many years of dedicated employment. She was a devout Catholic, member of St. Gabriel Church and taught CCD classes. She enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister for many different Chicago hospital’s giving communion to the sick. Kathleen was known to many in the neighborhood for being the “Parade Lady.” She was very active during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade during the 60’s, participating in the St. Gabriel Marching Band, and was delighted to accept the trophy for “best marching band.” Kathleen had a heart of gold. She always supported the local organizations, lending a helping hand, always making everyone feel welcomed. Kathleen will be deeply missed for her friendly generosity, warm heart, and gentle kindness. Visitation on Wednesday, February 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Funeral Thursday, February 27th 9:00 a.m. at the chapel to St. Gabriel Church, 600 West 45th Street. For a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth.
