Garth Angel, 86, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2025, in Las Vegas, NE. He was born on Mar. 4, 1938, in Chicago, IL to Marie A. Sisson (Lehbrink) and Henry Angel and later became the stepson of William K. Sisson. Raised in Chicago, Garth graduated from Calumet High School in 1956. He proudly served in the USAF (1961-1965) and became a Chicago Police Officer in 1966 with a 32-year career of various assignments including the Marine Unit, Detail Unit and Housing. He attended classes at Daley College and worked as a Security Officer there (1972-1995). Garth enjoyed participating in the Fagowees Ski Club, scuba diving, and volleyball leagues. He was a licensed ship captain and piloted commercial yachts on Lake Michigan. He was a beloved son and family member, as well as a close friend and lifelong companion to many. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. Garth was single and requested no services. He will be laid to rest beside his mother in Ewing, NE.

James (Jim) Glynn, born June 1, 1938, while surrounded by loved ones, departed this earthly world on Feb 10, 2025 in Davenport, FL. Jim was born in Chicago and graduated from York High School in Elmhurst IL. He met his future bride Patricia (Pat) on a blind date and they were married in June 1960. They celebrated almost 65 years of wedded bliss and many adventures together. Besides his beloved Pat, Jim leaves behind his daughters Carol (Terry), Stone and Linda (Scott), Nelson, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Michael Glynn and Georgianna (Goodman) Glynn. Jim had two main careers; after attending the apprenticeship program for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) he worked as an IBEW electrician for 40 years in Illinois and as a firefighter in Villa Park, Illinois for 21 years, achieving the rank of Chief. After retiring, Jim and Pat moved to the Orlando FL area to live his retirement dream of working at Walt Disney World. Jim loved driving the Trams from the parking lots, easily interacting with the thousands of visitors along with numerous other duties he enjoyed doing throughout his many years working there. They also traveled with their RV seeing many sites throughout the country and enjoyed many Caribbean cruises. Jim enjoyed woodworking, doing puzzles, and loved reading many different genres of novels. Until recently they resided in the Polo Park subdivision where Jim was an active member of the HOA board and volunteered as a golf course Marshall and community Ranger. Jim met with his Polo Park friends every week for their standard “morning cup of Joe”, fellowship and a donut which he often brought back to the house and shared with Pat. Services will be private with family only.

Worked 10 years for the Chicago Heights Police Department as a Police Officer. Former Partner along with his father Ernie for 20 years of Ernie’s Tree and Landscaping.
