Patrick W. Hayes , age 46, CFD. Loving husband of Tracy (nee Slattery). Greatest Dad to Cecilia. Devoted son to John “Jack” and Margaret “Peggy” (nee Fehil) Hayes. Treasured brother of John “Jack” (Diana), Kathleen (Tom) Heery, and Colleen Hayes. Best brother-in-law to Jill (Tim Geers, CFD) Slattery, Tommy (Jacqueline), Michael (Leanne), Billy, Marc (Courtney Dowling) Costas. Fun-loving uncle to Kailey Hayes, Daniel and Jack Heery, Reese, Lanie, and Gavin Geers, Maura, Conor, and Finn Costas. Dearest grandson of the late John and the late Patricia Hayes and the late William and the late Margaret Fehil. Fond cousin to many. Lifelong friend of Danny Sheehan, Paco Sanchez, and the late Brett Fuller and cherished friend to all who knew him. Lifelong Canaryville resident, parishioner of St. Gabriel Church, proud graduate of St. Gabriel Catholic School and Mt. Carmel High School. Pat was a dedicated and proud member of the Chicago Fire Department - Engine 123 and Tower Ladder 39. He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football fan. Pat had a love for music, especially the Rolling Stones. He enjoyed his daily walks to the gas station to try to win big on his favorite scratch offs. Fantastic teller of dad jokes. Pat was a devoted, loving man who was always there with a warm hello, helping hand, and bright smile. Pat’s loss will be felt by many, but especially by his daughter CC who was the center of his world.
